High-Definition CNC Plasma Cutting Services

Precision Heavy Plate Metal Cutting Solutions in Southwest Iowa

Red Oak Fabrication delivers heavy CNC plasma cutting services across the Midwest. We run high-definition thermal systems on two large 10 by 20 foot cutting beds. On these beds we cut thick carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum plate. We handle fast production blanks and complex heavy machinery parts. Our Hypertherm plasma technology keeps the heat zone small and the edges square.

Equipment & Technology Specs

At Red Oak Fabrication, we operate two large ALLtra CNC plasma cutting tables. Our cutting machines combine high amperage with automatic torch height control. They also mix gas from a multi-gas console. This lets us tune arc density, kerf width, and cutting speed for each metal alloy.

Our 400-amp Hypertherm HPR systems pierce carbon steel up to 2.0 inches in production.

Cut Quality, Tolerances & Edge Geometry Standards

High-definition plasma cutting narrows the gap between conventional plasma cutting and precision fiber laser processing. By controlling gas vortexing and arc compression, we deliver parts that are ready for immediate downstream welding and assembly.

Dimensional Tolerance
Holds tight profile tolerances within plus or minus 0.015 in (0.38 mm) on light to medium plate.
Hypertherm True Hole Technology
Removes hole taper on mild steel, creating 1:1 bolt-hole ratios with clean, perpendicular hole walls.

Quality Assurance

Fourth-generation family ownership ensures active oversight across every stainless steel and metal fabrication processing line.
Production Monitoring

We track every Mill Test Report from plate intake through delivery to confirm the exact ASTM material grade of each component.

Precise Calibration

We verify parts using calibrated coordinate measuring machines and precision height gauges.

Certified Welders

Our certified welders adhere strictly to code standards.
